Mahalo for a wonderful vacation little Keiki!

Hello little hula girl,
we arrived home last night to a bit of rain and a whole lot of great memories. You were a dream on the flight home and slept nearly the entire time. All of the surrounding people commented on (a) how cute you are (b) how well you did. I just nursed you most of the flight and wrapped you up in a nice comfy blanket. I'm looking forward to spending a relaxing day with you to readjust to Seattle living.

Our time at the Westin  was a great one. A typical day consisted of getting up and eating, going for a walk along the beachwalk, letting mommy and daddy eat our breakfast, heading to the pool where we created a little cocoon for you and you would nap in between reading your book or staring at your hanging toys. In the afternoon we would go to the room for a nap and playtime and in the evening we would take another walk and find something for dinner before putting you down in your "heavenly" crib.

On Tuesday we decided to take an adventure trip with you and signed up for a whale watching cruise. There were SO many whales and one day we want to take you again so you can see these amazing animals. There were hundreds of them and so close to the boat as well. You and I stayed in the shade and on the lower deck while your dad was up on top taking in the sights. Again, you did great (until the taxi ride with Nee back to the hotel... you happened to cry/scream the entire way back until you got food and a nap). We did get up very early after all so it was indeed warranted.

The weather was about 80 and sunny- no rain to speak of. It seemed you grew so much in the one week we were in Hawaii. I can't believe how big you are getting, not just size-wise but also developmentally. You seem more comfortable just hanging out with us, being held for longer periods of time and able to occupy yourself for short stints. You also seem fascinated by your surroundings- the tv, interesting patterns or light variations. You also seem to constantly be moving your little fingers. Is there a piano player in there waiting to come out? Its fun to watch and wonder! It also seems that your hair might be turning auburny. We shall see on that too!

Anyway my little Keiki, it was a truly wonderful trip with you and one I am so glad we had with you. We know this is one of many to come in the future. We love you so much my little christmas cookie!
