little monkey butt

it's so sad to see you in pain. Today we found out you had your first diaper rash and you were so miserable. During daycare Emebete called and asked whether she could apply some desitin to your bottom and of course we said yes. When we brought you home we let you roll around diaper-free to let your hinnie air out before applying more cream and swaddling you up sans pajamas. There was a long night of unswaddling you, changing out diapers, reapplying cream, reswaddling and putting you back to sleep all night long. It was not fun to wake you up from deep slumber to change out the diaper but necessary non-the-less. Looks like tonight will be the same routine. I think the rash came from a bout of diarrhea you have had the last few days. I wish you better real soon sweet baby. (ps- I told daddy it wasn't appropriate or sensitive to call you monkey butt until you have recovered a few days since you are in so much pain). xoxo
