mommy's lil sweet potatoe

It was mommy and daddy's 2nd wedding anniversary and to celebrate we thought we would feed you your first solid food...and we chose sweet potatoes! We boiled them up, mashed them, let them cool and then put a small amount into your spoon. You looked excited at first and put the food into your mouth using the spoon..... but then made a gagging face. I think the act of swallowing was too much to figure out! We tried a few more times and decided not to make this a torturous event for you. We promptly wiped your face off, put you in the tub with us for your nightly bath and cleared your place at the table. We will try again in a few days....perhaps with a little milk mixed in to cut the solid-ness. Yeah baby Hazel!!
