Merry Christmas sweet girl! I write this sitting in front of our cute Christmas tree waiting for you to wake up this morning! I am so excited to spend this holiday with you and daddy. I wonder if you'll like opening presents? I wonder if you'll enjoy spending time with your grandma and papa and cousins and aunt and uncle... I bet you'll like playing with Porter the best.
I'll leave tomorrow to recap Christmas but I thought I would write a bit about your little self right now.
You are getting better at sleeping... not perfect but better. Your teeth are coming in so you must be experiencing some pain. When I go into your room in the evening I pick you up, hold you tight and sway you back and forth. Eventually we go into the kitchen and make a nice warm bottle. I think last night was my last night I will nurse you. While I will miss it, I know you are a big girl!
At school you are a kissing bandit. You circle your lips and go over to your little friends and say ooooo. Then you and your friends place open mouth to open mouth. While really cute, the amount of germs you spread is pretty significant!
You are turning into such a good eater! At school you eat all they serve you...mostly. you seem to love broccoli and other veggies, yogurt, bread, fruit and even rice and beans. At home we cook you simple meals such as steamed veggies, english muffins with peanut butter and lots of fruit. Lately you've been eating satsumas since they are in season.
Your signing is getting so good! I felt like I had a conversation with you the other night (at 12:30am). When I asked you whether you wanted to go to bed you shook your head no. When I asked what you wanted you pointed to the door. When I asked if you wanted milk you signed the milk sign and nodded your head. You know the sign 'all done' and are getting better with please though I'm not sure if you really know this one yet :)
Things you like: Books, books, books. You read them on your own, turning pages really fast and sometimes you like when we read to you. Your favorite this week is "the big red barn."
You also love music toys and your stuffed animals. Other favorites include anything in the kitchen cupboards or empty boxes.
That's all for now.
