Are you testing us? Are you exploring what independence feels like? Are you not challenged enough? Do you have a tendency for rebellion? Are you just a normal 5 year old?
In 6 months you'll be entering kindergarten and I am both thrilled and sad to see you take this next big step in life. I'll miss our daily commutes together and I'll especially miss the opportunity to grab you from school and enjoy lunch with you. This time together really is great and you seem to love it.
So we don't forget the wonderful things about you, here is a bit more about you right now:
- you love to swim and after a few lessons you can mostly swim (like a fish)
- you watch out for Dottie and try to make her happy when she is sad
- you love learning about animals
- we will go on a safari at some point as a family
- your breakfast consists of berry pop tarts (the organic kind of course) and you have an insatiable need for berries
- you want a dog- a girl dog- and to have puppies
- you want a pony
- you now want everything you see on commercials
- you have a memory like a hawk and can recite song lyrics, shows, commercials after hearing them only a few times
- you love hearing about yourself as a baby
- you sleep well and wake up poorly (sometimes if you don't get enough sleep)
- daddy thinks you are stubborn
- you like to draw
- I heard you count over 100 yesterday
- you enjoy being outside, going to the lagoon and reading your bike
- your listening ears seem to be broken on occasion
- you want to go camping
- you sometimes claim I pay more attention on Dottie ( I don't think I do and I apologize if you feel that way)
- you are growing up, becoming more self sufficient and thinking more on your own
- you used the term BFF and understands what it means
- you like to solve problems
- you have a great imagination
- you are confident
You are LOVED so much by your family.
Xoxoxo
