our first camping trip

For Ashby's 6th birthday we were invited to join his family on a camping trip at Deception Pass State Park. The entire way there is poured but as soon as we arrived the sky lighted up, the clouds parted and there was no rain to be had. We had a fun time hiking up and down the trails, eating by the campfire and of course sleeping in the tent. My favorite part was your early morning wake up to us when you heard the owl(s) hooting in the forest.

It was a nice reprieve from the previous week's events.
