A little bit scary...
Today we spent the morning at Children's Hospital going to get blood drawn and meeting with Dr Chou (oncology). We're all worried about those little calcifications that the ultrasound picked up during my 20 week ultrasound (when you were in mommy's tummy). After meeting with the doctor, he believes there is nothing to worry about and that you appear to be a healthy baby girl. We need to go back in a month to follow up and we hope and pray that our baby Hazel lives a healthy, stress free life. Both sets of grandparents and all of your aunts and uncles are concerned and checking in on your progress. You have a family that truly loves you Hazel Lee.
The worst part was seeing the lab draw your blood. Because you're only 11 days old, your tiny veins made it difficult for them to find. You left the hospital with a neon pink wrapped bandage on your hand- it looked like a boxing glove and daddy appropriately named you our million dollar baby (movie reference). We love you so much Hazel and already I can't imagine you not in our lives. With each feeding (and there are a lot of those!), sleep, hug and kiss my love grows stronger and stronger. I am so excited to see what you become and what you grow to believe and commit to doing. Just know that your daddy and I will support you and enable you to meet your dreams any way we can. Sleep tight sugar.
